Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footsteps on the moon!

Welcome to this week's edition of Fantastic Friday, where we talk about happiness and inspiration and everything that goes in between!

Hello all you wonderful people!

This is rather late for a Fantastic Friday note, but I had to scribble this personal note tonight. Love being a woman, for so many FANTASTIC gifts we have; beauty to start with, emotions that can hold the world, power to give birth, looks that kill, attitude of the survivor, resilience, poise, strength, courage. Love being a woman!!

And I'm happy to confide in a little secret, ladies. The book that was in my head all this time and I couldn't put my finger on it somehow is finally coming to realization :D Finally I feel uncluttered enough to start working on it and can see my characters a bit clearly. It's going to be a fiction. Writing a book/story/novel, whatever you call it, has been at the back of my mind for as long as I can remember. It's like a cherished message I want to send out to the world in the hopes that you will like it and fall in love with it as I have fallen in love with my fictional-characters-to-be for all this time. I'm dreaming big: An international bestseller with my photo on the cover page, and dedications to the one I love most in this world... On the top shelves of my favorite book store. Dreaming big doesn't hurt :-)

"The Addams Family" Funny Movie Quotes -- Fantastic Friday

Welcome to this week's edition of Fantastic Friday.

The Addams family was originally a cartoon by Charles Addams. With its tremendous popularity, it has now become a movie series, a 1950s sitcom and even an animated film.

There have been television series cartoons on it too so every one now know the famous Addams Family. Everyone knows the Addams Family start up song that's now like an anthem to this whole series. The most appealing thing about The Addams Family is showing a traditional family which is anything but common. The dialogues are witty and outrageously funny. I think you'll find the appeal in just the quotes below.

Morticia: Don't torture yourself, Gomez. That's my job.
--

Morticia: Children, what are you doing?
Wednesday: I'm going to electrocute him.
Morticia: But we're late for the charity auction.
Wednesday: But, Mother!
Morticia: [firmly] I said no.
Pugsley: Pleeaaaase?
Morticia: [smiling indulgently] Oh, all right.
--

Grandmama: [to the family] Dinner's gonna be late.
[goes outside]
Grandmama: Here, boy! Here, boy!
--

Gomez Addams: [admiring Mortisha, who is sleeping] Look at her. I would die for her. I would kill for her. Either way, what bliss!
--

Wednesday: Please pass the salt.
Morticia: And what do we say?
Wednesday: NOW.
--

Gomez: [as he helps Morticia out of a trap] Leather straps, red-hot pokers!
Morticia: Later, my dearest.
--

Uncle Fester: Haven't you ever slaughtered anyone before?
Wednesday: He's only a child.
Uncle Fester: That's no excuse! Aim for a major artery. The jugular.
--

You might be interested in:

Gomez: Have no fear. The courts will decide. They say a man who represents himself has a fool for a client. Well, with God as my witness, I am that fool.
--

Wednesday: Nobody gets out of the Bermuda Triangle, not even for a vacation. Everyone knows that.
Dr. Pinderschloss: Oh, my little bundle. So much you don't understand. The human spirit, it is a hard thing to kill.
Grandmama: Even with a chainsaw.
--

Woman: What kind of powder does your mommy use?
Wednesday: Baking powder.
Woman: I mean on her face.
Wednesday: Baking powder.
--

Morticia: Gomez.
Gomez: Querida?
Morticia: Last night you were unhinged. You were like some desperate, howling demon. You frightened me. Do it again!
--

Gomez: What? Come on, Old Man, I've smoked since I was 5. Mother insisted.
--

Morticia: Wednesday, play with your food!
--

Girl Scout: Would you like to buy some girl scout cookies?
Wednesday: Are they made with real girl scouts?

1. “Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful… that’s what matters to me.”

2. “The only problem with Microsoft is they just have no taste. They have absolutely no taste. And I don’t mean that in a small way, I mean that in a big way, in the sense that they don’t think of original ideas, and they don’t bring much culture into their products.”

3. You can’t just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they’ll want something new.”

4. Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.”

5. “People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But that’s not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully.”

6. “Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

7. “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

8. “I didn’t see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. Working Out That Confidence! -- Fantastic Friday

So I'm fat. Big deal. The only thing I hate about being fat is not being able to fit into all my favorite clothes. Really. And, ummm, the frequent feeling of tiredness. That's it. I love my big cheeks. My friends say I look cute that way. I don't look half as good with cheeks tucked in. Trouble is, I have a sweet tooth. I wish I'd think of the consequences before I decide to gorge on a chocolate or gulab jaman. Sigh. I finally got dumb bells. Never did those kinds of work outs but I think it's high time that I do. I'm missing out on my much loved daily walks so I'm trying to make up for them else wise. Besides, having a strong body is so cool. Better than being slim, I tell you. I love the always-active feeling. I like being able to walk really fast, pick up heavy loads, run about, dance and laugh.

When you're happy with your body, you feel confident. When you trust your mind and body, you actually start trusting yourself better. And when you finally start losing weight, that's an incentive in itself. Don't you think, ladies?

Lots of water,
Dumping the lift and taking the stairs instead
Sweating off that lazy fat
Jog, jog, jog
Tip toe here
Tip toe there
Lots of fresh juice (nothing beat that!!)
The lovely greens
No oils... feel light!

It's downright fun, girls!

... And once a week after all the effort, I think I deserve something sweet!

Toodles~
Happy Weekend!

Hold my hand because I might disappear

I wonder how people can become small in the blink of an eye. Can anything ever be so big that you can just erase a person from your life like they never existed? (Besides something totally outrageous and unfair, of course)

How can you bring yourself to forget the time spent with a friend, a relative, a sibling, a special someone based on one mistake? Some times people make mistakes on purpose, for fear of losing, for fear of crying, for fear of falling apart may be. May be they aren't so bad and you would know, only if you give them, rather, give yourself a fair chance. Can you ask yourself to catch that single twinkle of a genuine sorry, a look that says, hey, I'm sorry I couldn't help it, I'm sorry things had to turn out this way but I couldn't tell... I couldn't see, I wanted you till the very last minute, 'cause you were special and I didn't want to lose a single moment.

Hold my hand because I might disappear.

I have yet to find out what exactly goes on into the mind of a person who decides to say a "good bye". May be I'm too young to actually comprehend the severity of a farewell. Or may be I'm old enough to know how to let go or better yet, forgive: Forgive like there's no "good bye" in this world. You decide.

Note: Just a little something I came up for a friend. She says she knows herself well, but there are some things she just gives up at. One being what this post talks about.

A Toast to All My Girlies!!!

Never apologize for pursuing what makes you happy. Even if you need to quit your job, transfer schools, or move across country, always do what you really want.

Never apologize for giving your best in a relationship that just didn't work out.

Never apologize for crying. Wear waterproof mascara and express yourself.

Never apologize for being successful. Only haters want to keep you at their level.

Never apologize for treating yourself to something special. Sometimes you have to show yourself some appreciation.

Never apologize for demanding respect. You are to always be treated as a Queen.

Never apologize for leaving an abusive relationship. Your safety should always be a priority.

Never apologize for ten pounds you need to lose. People who truly care about you will accept you as you are.

Never apologize for keeping the ring even if you did not get married.

Never apologize for setting high standards in a relationship. You know what you can tolerate and what simply gets on your nerves.

Never apologize for saying NO!

Never apologize for not knowing how to cook. Even if you can't burn like Grandma you know how to order good take out. (Right Girl!)

Never apologize for making more money than your man, you work hard and you deserve to get paid.

Never apologize for being you!
